The projection control room can be driven remotely and can feed a dedicated screen for the people on stage.
Remote on a phone
The séance creates its own remote as soon as it starts: there is nothing to open for it to exist.
- With the Sanctumel app (team member): open Projection. The app finds the service in progress by itself and connects to it; if several séances are open, it lists them with their title, who is running them and since when. No QR to scan.
- Without the app: in the régie, Broadcast menu, then Remote control. The QR code appears with the link, which copies in one click to send by message. The link opens the remote page, with no sign-in or installation; on a phone where the app is installed, the page offers Open in the Sanctumel app.
- The Next / Previous buttons move through the slides; the counter (for example "Slide 3/46") follows in real time.
- Black cuts the public display in one tap (and brings it back). Go to jumps straight to the slide number entered.
- "Quit" releases the remote cleanly.
Reloading the régie cuts nothing: the remote, the stage display and the network hall screen keep their links and resume by themselves. Nothing needs rescanning.
Regenerate replaces the link (the old one stops working at once: do it if the QR has spread too widely); Stop cuts it. A phone left on a cut link, or on one from a finished séance, shows Link expired; if the régie stops answering, it shows Régie silent and keeps its last state.
The ticker from the room
When the control room has put a ticker on air (Broadcast look page), the remote shows a Ticker button. You change the ticker from the room; the control room keeps the projection.
- What is running now lists the ticker lines. The cross removes a line.
- Add a line, then Send on the next turn: the line comes in at the end of the ticker's turn, never mid-scroll. The remote says roughly how many seconds that takes.
The remote does not turn the ticker on or create it: without a ticker on air, the button does not appear. In the control room, the ticker then says who changed it last: you, another control room or the remote, with the time.
Stage display (for singers and speakers)
- In the control room, open "Stage screen": a dedicated window appears, to place on the screen facing the stage.
- It shows, very large: the time, the current slide and the next slide in advance, so singers can anticipate the coming verse.
- The stage display follows the control room automatically: no extra driving needed.
Send a cue to the stage
During worship, you can guide the singers without a word into the mic: a cue shows large on the stage screen, never on the public screen.
- Open the Broadcast menu then Stage cue.
- Tap a ready-made cue - Last chorus, Wrap up, Slow down, Speed up, Hold, Prayer - or type a free cue.
- It appears over the stage-screen preview, for as long as needed. Clear cue removes it.
The stage display over the network, without a third screen
The hall screen too. The same mechanism exists for the screen the congregation sees, when the projector is not on the console's machine: see Audience screen and shortcuts.
The window above assumes three screens on one machine: control room, hall, stage. Very few churches can manage that.
There is therefore a second path, and it is often the better one: any tablet on the network becomes the stage display, through a simple link.
- Broadcast menu, then Open a stage return over the network.
- A QR code appears, and the link copies in one click.
- Scan it from the tablet on the pulpit, or send the link to whoever needs it.
The link also copies from the Address tab of the Live panel: it is when preparing an address that you set up the speaker's tablet.
What this screen shows

The time and the labels follow the church's language, not the tablet's: "21:33" on a French-speaking stage display, even if the device was left in English in a box.
This link drives nothing, and that is deliberate
It displays, it does not command. It can neither change slide, nor black out the screen, nor open the church's song repertoire. That is what makes it safe to leave in plain sight on a pulpit, without a glance over the shoulder handing someone the power to black out the projection mid-service.
Note: the remote control keeps all its power. These are two different links, with two different keys.
Keep the screen awake
On phones and tablets, the browser only grants the screen lock after a user gesture. A page opened from a QR code has had none: a gold banner then asks you to tap the screen once. It disappears as soon as the lock is granted, and the screen no longer goes dark for the rest of the service.
Beam-splitter glass
Add &mirror=1 at the end of the address: the image is flipped horizontally and reads correctly in the reflection of a studio glass.
End of session
When the control room closes the session, this link stops too: what stays on it is the church logo. Nothing stays frozen on the last slide: the tablet sits on a pulpit, nobody is going to fetch it to close a tab.
Tips
- The remote works on the church network as well as on 4G. Unlike the screens, it always goes through the Internet: it is a piloting tool, not a display.
- In doubt, close and rescan the QR: the remote resynchronizes immediately.
