Retrieve or delete church data

Export all of your church's data (portability) and request account deletion.

Your church is the data controller for its data (members, visitors, finances, events). As such, the administrator has two rights, from Settings > Privacy, section Church data.

Export church data (portability)

  1. Open Settings > Privacy.
  2. Under Church data, click Download data.
  3. A JSON file downloads immediately: church profile, members, visitors, finances (transactions) and events.

Warning: this file contains personal data. Keep it safe and do not share it carelessly.

The export is immediate and self-service: no waiting, no operator. You can redo it as often as needed, for instance before switching tools.

Delete the church account

  1. Still under Church data, click Request account deletion.
  2. Confirm and optionally give a reason.
  3. The request is recorded; a Sanctumel operator handles it within 30 days (GDPR art. 12).

Good to know: export your data first - deletion is permanent. Some data (accounting) may be kept for the legal period before erasure. The request stays cancellable until handled (Cancel button).

Difference with deleting a personal account

  • Personal account (any user): manages your Sanctumel account data.
  • Church account (administrator): manages the church's data. The two are independent.
