A stay's Sleeping tab holds the rooms, dorms and tents.
Those without a bed are at the top
That is the screen's main information, not a leftovers list. A screen opening on full rooms lets you believe everyone is in bed, and you find out at ten in the evening.
While someone is left, the panel is amber and counts them. When nobody is, it says so in one line.
Putting someone in a bed
Tick one or more youths, then pick the room: a bar appears at the top with each room's name. A youth leaves a room through the bin at the end of their line, and returns to the list of those without a bed.
Each youth carries what you decide on: sex, age, whether they are a minor, and their team. You may want a team together, or precisely not; the screen shows, it does not decide.
Mixing refuses, capacity warns
It is the only rule in the module that refuses anything. Everywhere else in Young, the screen shows what to decide on and lets you decide: a church sorts on criteria no software knows. Putting a boy in a girls' dorm is not an organisational choice, and the server refuses it while saying what to do.
A youth whose sex is not recorded goes anywhere: many files are incomplete, and refusing to house them would make the screen unusable. The list of those without a bed remains the safeguard.
The number of beds is only a marker. You add a mattress on the floor the night you must, and software refusing the ninth bed of a room for eight sends someone to sleep outside to respect a figure. Going over is flagged in amber; it blocks nothing.
No automatic allocation
Same rule as for teams, for the same reasons: who is afraid of the dark, who snores, which older one watches over which younger one, who must be kept apart. An "allocate" button would be wrong every time, and what it proposes would end up accepted out of tiredness.
Deleting a room deletes nobody
Its occupants return to the list of those without a bed, where you can see them. Leaving them attached to a vanished room would take them off the screen without giving them one.
Who has access
The Manage stays permission (YOUNG_MANAGE), and only it. This is the list that says where a child is at night: it stays with those who organise, not with field leaders.
