The document editor gives you the freedom of a modern word processor, with Sanctumel's letterhead and security on top.

Write like in Word

  1. Font: choose among six classic fonts (Arial, Georgia, Times New Roman, Garamond, Verdana, Courier) - faithful on screen and in the PDF.
  2. Line spacing: single, 1.15, 1.5 or double, per paragraph or on the selection.
  3. Margins: narrow, normal or wide, set per document in the left panel.
  4. Images: insert a photo from your computer (image button or the "/" menu); once selected, set its width (25 to 100%) and alignment, like in Google Docs.
  5. Page break: dedicated button or Ctrl+Enter - what follows starts on a new page, on screen and in the issued PDF.

Find and replace

Ctrl+F opens the search bar: step through matches, replace one by one or all at once. Handy to fix a name in a long letter.

The status bar

Under the sheet: word count, characters and estimated reading time - always up to date as you type.

The "/" menu (quick insert)

Type / at the start of a line to insert without leaving the keyboard:

  1. A Bible verse (in the document language).
  2. A song from your library.
  3. An image.
  4. A table.
  5. A page break.
  6. Today's date, formatted in the document language.

Page view and multi-page PDF

  1. The "Page view" button shows your document page by page, exactly like the final PDF: page 1, page 2, page 3...
  2. On letterhead, the church's header and footer now repeat on every page - no more legal footer only at the very end.
  3. From two pages on, page numbers (1 / 3, 2 / 3...) appear at the bottom of each page.
  4. Subsequent pages keep a clean top margin, and the split respects your manual page breaks and never cuts a line in half.

Your church's templates

  1. Open any document and click "Save as template": its layout and content join the gallery.
  2. When creating a document, the "Your church's templates" section appears next to the system templates - one click and your secretariat's standard letter is ready to personalise.
  3. Delete an obsolete template with the cross on its tile (documents already created are not affected).

Images, without going through a file

  1. Paste: copy an image from a screenshot, an email or a web page, and paste it (Ctrl+V) straight into the letter.
  2. Drop: drag an image file from your desktop into the document.
  3. Crop: select an inserted image and click Crop to reframe it, move it and zoom, just like a profile photo.
  4. Width and alignment: once the image is selected, set its width (25 to 100 %) and its alignment.

Note: a pasted image is uploaded to your church's storage, then referenced in the document. That is what makes it still there when you reopen the file, and in the issued PDF.

What works while you write

  1. Autosave: two seconds after your last keystroke, the draft is saved silently. A letter typed over twenty minutes is no longer lost.
  2. Page guides: as you type, a "Page 2", "Page 3" line shows where each page will end. It takes into account the real height of the header, the footer, the margins and your manual breaks.
  3. Sticky toolbar: it follows the text as you move down a long document, instead of disappearing off the top of the screen.

Note: everything else stays the same - locked letterhead, signature and stamp, anti-fraud QR verification, sealed issuing and email sending.
