Letterhead and signature
Set your documents' identity (logo, header, colour, signatory, signature, stamp and legal details) so every letter carries your church's image.
A letter or a certificate should look like your church, not a generic document. The letterhead is set once, in Documents > Settings, and then applies to every document you generate. A live preview beside the form shows the result as you adjust the settings.
Open the letterhead settings
- Open Documents.
- Click Settings.
- Adjust the sections in the left-hand column: the preview updates instantly on the right.
Note: these details appear in the header and footer of every document. You set them once, and they are used everywhere.
Layout
The first section controls the overall look of the paper.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show the church logo | Places the church logo in the header |
| Accent colour | Tints the rules and titles in your church's colours |
By default the accent colour matches your church's colour. You can change it with the colour picker.
Tip: keep the logo on if your church has one defined. It is what most sets an official letter apart from a plain note.
Legal details (footer)
These fields fill in the footer of your documents. Enter only what applies to you.
- Legal name / non-profit - your organisation's legal name.
- Registered office - the official address.
- Company number - your company or registration number.
- IBAN - useful on receipts and certificates.
- Footer note (optional) - a free line shown at the bottom of the page.
- Certificate number prefix - for example
TDR, to number your certificates.
Warning: tax certificates and official documents commit your church. Check the legal name and company number before generating a document meant for a third party.
Default signatory
Enter the Name and Role of the person who usually signs your documents (for example the pastor or the secretary). These details are pre-filled when you create a document, and can still be changed case by case.
Signature and stamp
You can add two images that will appear at the bottom of your documents.
- Next to Signature, click Upload and choose an image of the handwritten signature.
- Next to Stamp, do the same with the church stamp.
- Crop the image in the window that opens (drag to reposition, zoom to adjust), then apply.
To remove an image, use the delete button next to the preview.
Tip: a signature on a white or transparent background, well contrasted, gives the best result. Cropping helps you keep just the strokes, with no needless margin.
Save and check
Once your settings are done, click Save. The preview on the right reflects exactly what your recipients will see: header, colour, footer details, signature and stamp. Read it over before generating your first letter.
