Keyboard shortcuts
Open help, search everywhere, drive the projection: the keys that save time, and the ones that never fire by accident.
Sanctumel works entirely with the mouse. Shortcuts replace nothing: they shorten the gestures you repeat most. None needs to be memorised to use the product.
Note: no key fires while you are typing. Type "Chairs purchase" in a field and nothing happens: single-letter shortcuts are ignored as soon as the cursor is in an input.
Everywhere in the Suite
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| A, H, ? or F1 | Opens help for the screen you are on |
| Ctrl + K (⌘ K on Mac) | Global search and command palette |
| Esc | Closes the open window or menu |
Why four keys for help. ? is the convention of professional tools, but it needs a combination on every keyboard: Shift+, on AZERTY, Shift+/ on QWERTY. A and H need nothing, and are mnemonic in all five product languages: Aide, Ayuda, Ajuda start with A; Help and Hulp with H. F1 exists for anyone who cannot make a combination at all.
Tip: help opens in a floating window. The screen behind stays usable: you read a step, you apply it, you read the next one — without losing what you were typing. Move it by its title, resize it by its corner: it remembers its place.
The help window
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| A, H, ? or F1 | Closes the window if it is already open |
| Esc | Closes the window |
It opens straight onto the articles for the screen you are on. A search covers the whole documentation, and a selector lets you read an article in a language other than your interface.
During a live service: projection and preaching mode
These screens have their own keys, and the single-letter help shortcuts are disabled there. You do not pop up a documentation window during a service on a neighbouring keystroke.
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| F | Fullscreen |
| B | Black screen (projection) |
| R | Back to the summary (projection) |
| Ctrl + B | Opens the Bible (projection) |
| ? or F1 | Still opens help: these keys are never pressed by accident |
What is not a shortcut
Your browser and system combinations stay intact: Ctrl + A still selects all, Ctrl + C copies, Ctrl + F searches the page. Sanctumel never listens to a letter while a command key is held — a shortcut that broke "select all" would be the most hated in the product.
