Daily Bread is the bread of the week: after the service, the church sends the assembly the heart of the message - a short email read in a minute. Whoever was absent on Sunday still receives their portion; whoever was present finds again what they heard.
The email carries the recap written by the church and the references - scriptures read and, for Message churches, quoted references - each reference optionally carrying one sentence from the church. The full texts live on the public page: "Read in full and say Amen".
Prepare the bread
- Open your subject in Preaching, then tap the wheat button.
- The composer is already filled from your sermon: title, outline, scriptures, quotes. Untick what should not go out - nothing to retype.
- Write the recap in your own words: 3 to 6 lines.
- Under each ticked reference, add if you wish one sentence ("faith takes God at His word").
- Pick a verse to remember (the only bite served in full, highlighted), a meditation question, and optionally a "Go further" link (a Bible challenge, an event).
The preview on the right shows the email exactly as the member will receive it - greeting, closing and church contact details included. The email's opening line can be edited, bread by bread.
Choose the audience
- The whole church (default) or one campus.
- The absent: if attendance was taken that day, the church can send only to those who were not there. Without attendance that day, the segment is not offered.
- A few people: a handful of chosen recipients - ideal for a trial before the whole assembly.
Mailing subscribers receive every bread, whatever audience is chosen.
Schedule, or send now
Nothing goes out on its own: Schedule the sending (Tonight 6 pm, Tomorrow 8 am, Monday 8 am, or any time - editable and cancellable until served), or Send now. The sending goes out in the church's official language, in its colours. WhatsApp carries the condensed version with the link.
The mailing: members or not
On each bread's public page (and on the church's public page if the archive is enabled), anyone can subscribe to the Daily Bread with their email - a relative abroad, a passing visitor. The church can also add an address itself from the composer. In both cases, the person confirms by email in one click: that is their consent, and nothing goes out before. Every email carries the one-click unsubscribe link.
The church sees its list in the Suite: Preaching → subscribers (or the composer's "See all subscribers" link) - confirmed and pending, with removal possible.
The public archive (the church's choice)
In Settings → Church, enable "Daily Bread on the public page": your sent recaps appear on your /p/… page, with the mailing sign-up form.
The assembly's response
Each sending shows its outcome: received, page reads, Amen (anonymous, no account - a response, not a score).
The Monday reminder
If Sunday was preached and no bread is prepared yet, the preacher receives a reminder Monday morning with the direct link to the composer. Once per service, never nagging.
Who can send
The Send the Daily Bread permission is granted by default to administrators, pastors and preachers, adjustable in Settings → Roles.
