Create a quiz
Build an interactive quiz, add varied questions and publish it for your students.
Quizzes turn a lesson into a knowledge game. Students answer from their own space, earn points and progress session after session. Here is how to build a complete quiz, from the first question to publishing.
Create the quiz
- Open Sanctumel Learning, then the Quizzes tab.
- Click Create a quiz and fill in:
- a clear title (for example "The life of Joseph"),
- a short description (optional),
- a difficulty level (1 to 3),
- a category (Bible, Doctrine, History, Songs, Prayer, Gospel, Prophets),
- a duration in minutes.
- Save: the quiz first appears as a draft, hidden from students.
Tip: the duration is spread automatically across the questions. A 10-minute quiz with 5 questions leaves about 2 minutes per question.
Add questions
Open the quiz, then Add a question. Sanctumel supports four types:
| Type | Use |
|---|---|
| Multiple choice (text) | Written answers, one or several correct |
| Multiple choice (image) | Answers illustrated with thumbnails |
| Audio | The question relies on a sound clip |
| Video | A video file or a YouTube link |
For each question, set the text, the points awarded, the time limit in seconds, then tick the correct answer(s). Enable multiple correct answers if the question allows more than one.
Note: for audio and video, save the question first, then attach the media. A YouTube link is accepted and plays directly inside the quiz.
Adjust the behaviour
In the quiz settings you can:
- Shuffle the questions so each student gets a different order,
- Shuffle the answers to remove visual cues,
- limit the number of attempts per quiz and per question.
Publish
When everything is ready, open the quiz and switch it to Published. It then becomes visible and playable by the students of the relevant class. Switch it back to draft at any time to remove it without deleting it.
Warning: a published quiz counts towards points and the ranking. Double-check your correct answers before publishing.
