Children QR check-in
Automate children's class attendance: rotating QR, parent check-in, manual backup, history in the class report.
2026-07-13
No more paper attendance sheets: every class has a QR check-in for children, on the same proven principle as the department check-in.
Open the check-in
- In Sunday School → Classes, click the class QR icon.
- The check-in screen opens: a large QR to project or show at the classroom door, and the live children list.
- The QR changes every 45 seconds: a shared screenshot becomes useless.
For parents
- The parent scans the QR with their phone: no app, no account.
- They type their child's first name and check them in. A "Check in another child" button chains siblings without rescanning.
- Privacy: the public page only shows each child's first name and initial.
Backup and corrections
- The teacher can check a child in manually (parent without a phone).
- Clicking the green Present chip switches the child back to absent (check-in mistake).
- One check-in per child per day: no duplicates possible.
History
The printable class report (Reports → class) now shows a Class attendance section: recent dates, per-child attendance and attendance rate. It only appears if the class uses check-in.
