An offering is most often a collective collection: unlike the tithe (tracked per member), the tracking unit here is the collection itself. Sanctumel gives you a clear monthly view of all your offerings, with no spreadsheet to maintain by hand.

Open the tracking page

  1. Go to Finance then click Offerings tracking in the module action bar, or open the Offerings page directly.
  2. Navigate month by month with the arrows. The "Back to current month" button brings you back to today.

What the page shows

  1. Month total: the sum of all offerings, with the change compared to the previous month.
  2. Collections: the number of offering entries recorded for the month.
  3. Average per collection: to spot exceptional services at a glance.
  4. Online (Pay): the share of offerings received through the online payment link.
  5. 12-month trend: a mini chart showing the evolution over the rolling year.
  6. Breakdowns: by payment method (cash, transfer, card...) and, if the church collects one, the split between the adult service and the Sunday school, with amounts and percentages.

The collections table

Each row is a collection: date, label (e.g. "Sunday morning service"), assigned fund, payment method, source (online or manual) and amount. Click a column header to sort, just like in Excel. The chips above the table filter by payment method.

Adults and Sunday school: two offerings, one Sunday

Many churches take two distinct offerings on the same day: the adult service offering and the Sunday school offering, which really works as a separate cash box. Sanctumel keeps them cleanly apart:

  1. When recording, simply pick Adult service or Sunday school. Nothing else to configure: the choice files the entry in the right box.
  2. As soon as a Sunday school offering exists, the page shows per-service filters (All / Adult service / Sunday school) and a card with the month's split between the two.
  3. In Outflows & disbursements, the "Sunday school offering" source has its own treasury card: money in, money out and available balance. A Sunday school expense (supplies, snacks, rewards...) is recorded against that source, and it is impossible to spend more than that box contains.
  4. Reports and the general PDF show the "Sunday school offering" line separately from the adult offerings.

History is not disturbed: every offering already recorded keeps counting with the adult service as long as it does not carry the Sunday school category.

Record a collection in seconds

  1. Click Record an offering (reserved for roles allowed to create entries).
  2. Fill in the date, the amount, the payment method, and optionally the category, the assigned fund and a label.
  3. Save: the collection joins the ledger like any entry (same rules, same audit log) and appears immediately in the tracking.

For a more detailed entry (named giver, receipt...), use "New transaction" on the Finance page: any entry of type Offering appears in this tracking, wherever it was recorded.

The Offering payment link button copies a direct link to your church's giving portal, with the "Offering" category already selected. Share it on the projection screen, in WhatsApp or in the bulletin: every online gift flows automatically into this tracking, marked "Online".

  • Print (PDF): numbered list of collections, church letterhead, breakdowns by method and category - in the church's language.
  • Excel export (CSV): the same table, ready to open in Excel or Google Sheets.

Please note: this information is sensitive. Only roles with Finance access see this page.

What about cash counting?

For cash offerings counted by two people after the service, use the Cash counting module: once validated, the count creates the accounting entry, which appears here automatically.
