Import and organise your photos

Add many photos at once, caption them, download them and browse your shots with ease.

Once your album exists, everything happens inside it: importing photos, captioning them and browsing through them. The Gallery is built for speed, even with dozens of shots taken after a service or a convention.

Import photos

Open an album, then add your photos in one of two ways:

  1. Click the upload area or the Add photos button, then select several files at once.
  2. Or drag your images straight onto the upload area (drag and drop).

Files are sent in parallel and a progress bar shows how far along you are. Each photo keeps its original quality, and a lightweight version (thumbnail) is generated for fast display.

Tip: you can import in several waves. There is no need to add everything the same day - an album can grow over the following weeks.

Caption a photo

A caption sets the scene ("Baptisms, 12 June", "Youth choir").

  1. Switch the album to list view using the selector at the top right.
  2. Click the pencil icon next to the photo name.
  3. Type the caption, then confirm with Enter. Esc cancels.

The caption then appears when you hover over the photo in grid view and inside the full-screen viewer.

Browse and zoom in

Click a photo to open it full screen. In this viewer:

DetailsThe counter shows the position, dimensions and file size

The grid / list selector at the top of the page changes the album layout: grid for a visual mosaic, list to see caption, dimensions, author and date at a glance.

Download a photo

Every photo can be saved at full quality. Hover over it in grid view (or use the download button in list view) and click the download icon. Handy for reusing a shot in a poster, a post or a report.

Delete without stress

Deleting a photo (like deleting an album) comes with a short undo window: an Undo banner appears for a few seconds. While it is showing, nothing is actually erased. It is your safety net against a wrong click.

Warning: once the undo window has passed, the deletion is permanent. Double-check before letting the banner disappear.
