Schedule and programming
Plan slots for automatic playlists or reserve time ranges for your live broadcasts.
The schedule turns your library into a real station that runs all week. Day by day and hour by hour, you decide what goes on air: a playlist that plays on its own, or a slot reserved for a live show. It all runs from the Schedule tab of Radio & Live.
Planning a programme
- Open the Schedule tab, then the Plan a programme section.
- Give the slot a title (for example "Morning worship").
- Pick the day of the week, the start time and the end time.
- Select the slot type, then the recurrence.
- Confirm to add the slot to the schedule.
Warning: the end time must come after the start time, or the slot is rejected.
Automatic playlist or live slot
Every slot is one of two types.
| Type | What happens |
|---|---|
| Automatic playlist | The chosen playlist plays by itself during the slot, with no action needed |
| Live slot | The slot is reserved for a live broadcast you will start at the mic or from the control room |
For an automatic playlist, pick the playlist to air from the drop-down. If none appear, build one first in the Build playlists section.
Choosing the recurrence
| Recurrence | Effect |
|---|---|
| Once | The slot plays only on the planned date |
| Daily | The slot returns every day at the same time |
| Weekly | The slot returns each week on the chosen day |
Tip: use "Weekly" for your fixed appointments (service, Bible study) and "Once" for a one-off event such as a convention.
Reading and adjusting the schedule
Once your slots are added, the schedule appears as a weekly calendar. Each block shows its title, its time and, for an automatic playlist, the linked content. You can delete a slot straight from the calendar.
Note: the schedule and the playlists share the same library. Editing a playlist updates every slot that uses it.
