Targeting recipients

Pick the channel and the right people before sending an announcement to your members.

2026-07-04

A good message goes out on the right channel to the right people. Before sending, Sanctumel lets you choose how the message is delivered and who receives it, without ever forcing you to write to the whole church.

Choosing the channel

In the New announcement window, the first row lists the available channels.

  1. Open Communications from the Members area, then New announcement.
  2. Select the channel at the top of the window.
ChannelStatusWhat it does

Note: email is only offered when at least one member has an address on file. Complete member records to reach everyone.

Choosing recipients

Two targets are available under Recipients:

  • Everyone sends to all members; the total count is shown on the button.
  • Specific members opens a picker: search and tick people one by one. The number of selected people appears below the field.

Tip: for a department meeting reminder, choose Specific members and select only the team involved. No one else is disturbed.

Write and send

  1. Enter a clear subject and the message. A character counter helps you stay concise.
  2. Leave Send now unchecked to keep a draft, or tick it for an immediate send.
  3. Confirm: the announcement is saved as a draft or launched based on your choice.

Warning: a member without an email address will not receive an announcement sent by email. Check member records before an important send.
