History and tracking
Follow the status of each announcement, retry failures and review the email log.
Sending is not enough: you need to know whether the message actually arrived. The Communications page keeps every announcement, shows its status and lets you retry what failed, member by member.
Reading an announcement's status
Each card shows a colored status and the number of people reached.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | Saved but not yet sent. |
| Sending | The send is going out. |
| Sent | Every recipient received the message. |
| Partial | Some received it, some failed. |
| Failed | The send did not go through. |
Note: a "sending" announcement updates on its own. The page refreshes the status in the background until the send is complete.
Seeing recipient details
- Click an announcement to open it.
- Open the Recipients tab.
- Each row shows the person, their address and a green check (delivered) or a red cross (failed) with the reason.
The sent and failed counts are also visible directly on the card.
Retrying a send
When an announcement is Failed or Partial, a Retry button appears. It goes back out to the affected recipients without recreating the message.
Tip: a failure often comes from a missing or wrong email address. Fix the member's record, then retry.
The central email log
The Email log tab lists every email sent for the church, not just your manual announcements: reminders, confirmations and automatic messages. You see the recipient, the subject, the source, the status, and you can open the content that was actually sent.
Warning: this log serves as proof and as an anti-abuse safeguard. The count for the month is shown at the top of the list.
