Enrich a sermon in the editor

Split into sections, insert verses and quotes, add illustrations, and track the length of your message.

The sermon editor is a single document where you write freely while keeping a clear structure. Section headings automatically split the message into parts, and a quick menu lets you drop in verses, quotes, and images without leaving the text. Everything saves on its own as you type.

Split into sections

A section heading (Heading 2 style) marks the start of a new part. Each section becomes a part of the subject, reused later in preach mode, in the PDF, and on the projection screen.

  1. Write the line that will serve as the heading.
  2. Click Line to section, or place the cursor on it and apply the Heading 2 style.
  3. The section appears in the Sections panel - on the right on a large screen, or in a slide-up sheet on mobile.

From that panel you can jump to a section, move it up or down, drag and drop to reorder it, or delete it along with its content.

Tip: keep section headings short. A line that is too long cannot become a heading - break it up first.

The quick "/" menu

Start an empty line with a slash / to open an insert menu. Type to filter, move with the arrow keys, and confirm with Enter.

VerseA formatted Bible verse
QuoteA prophet quotation

Insert a verse or a quote

The Insert button (or the "/" menu) opens a picker.

  • Bible verse: choose the reference, and the verse appears in a gold block with its reference.
  • Quote: a quotation sits in its own block, easy to spot within the text.

These blocks carry over exactly as they are when you preach and project, formatted so the congregation can read them clearly.

Add an illustration

Insert an image through the Insert menu or the "/" command. A cropping tool opens before upload: frame the useful area, then confirm. The image is optimized and placed in the text.

Length and saving

The editor shows the word count and an estimated length for the message (about 130 words per minute at the pulpit), handy for timing a service. A status indicator shows the save state: the text is saved automatically shortly after each change, with no button to press.

Note: saving is automatic, but wait for the "saved" indicator before closing if your connection is unstable.
