Link a run sheet to an event

Attach a program to a calendar event so the two stay in sync.

A run sheet reaches its full purpose when it is linked to the event it details: a convention, a worship night, a special service. The link works both ways, from the event or from the program, letting you find one from the other without searching.

  1. Open the program in the detail panel.
  2. Under Linked event, open the list of the church's events.
  3. Pick the event to attach. The link is saved immediately.

A badge then appears on the program card, showing the name of the attached event. A shortcut takes you to the calendar to open the matching event.

Note: a run sheet can only be linked to one event at a time. If you pick a new one, the previous link is automatically detached.

From a calendar event card, you can create a run sheet that is already attached:

  1. Open the relevant event.
  2. Start creating a program from the event.
  3. The form opens pre-filled (event title and date). On save, the new run sheet is linked automatically.

Tip: this path avoids double entry: the title and date arrive already filled from the event, so you just add the steps.

To separate a run sheet from its event, go back to Linked event and choose the empty option at the top of the list. The program and the event each keep existing on their own; only the link is removed.
