When your church streams the service online, remote viewers see the video but rarely the verse or lyrics projected in the room. Sanctumel places that content as an overlay on your live stream, cleanly branded, without changing your setup.
You replace nothing
That is the key point: you keep your YouTube channel (your audience, your replays) and you keep the software that projects in the room. Sanctumel does not take their place, it sits on top and does what they do poorly online: a discreet band at the bottom of the picture that never covers the speaker.
What shows on the stream
What you project for the room can appear on the stream at the same time:
- Verses: the reference (for example "John 3:16") and the text, in your church's version.
- Song lyrics: the title, the section (Chorus, Verse 2) and the current lines.
- Prophet quote (Message churches): the quoted paragraph, with its source.
- Flash: a short announcement in a gold band.
The overlay stays a lower third: its height is capped and the text shrinks on its own to fit, so it never rises onto the speaker's face, even on mobile and even for a long passage.
Two ways to show it
1. The Sanctumel live (the simplest)
If you stream with Sanctumel's own video live, there is nothing to install: the overlay appears directly on the video, for the remote assembly and in the community alike. You switch it on, it shows.
2. OBS, YouTube or Facebook (browser source)
If you stream with OBS (or any encoder) to YouTube or Facebook, add our overlay once:
- In the control room, open the Broadcast menu then the Live overlay (OBS / YouTube) block. Copy the URL (or scan the QR).
- In OBS, add a Browser source, paste the URL, set it to 1920 × 1080, and place it above your cameras.
- To check before the service, open the URL followed by
?preview=1in a browser: a help page confirms everything is wired. The URL pasted into OBS itself stays transparent.
Note: the overlay page is transparent and read-only. It shows nothing until the control room turns on "On live".
Where to show it: the player, the stream, or both
If you use both ways above - your OBS overlay burned into the picture and the Sanctumel live - the lower third can appear twice: once in the picture you send out, once laid on by our player at the viewer's end.
The Where to show it setting, in the control room's Live overlay look panel, settles it once and for all:

Tip: if your OBS setup already burns the overlay into the picture, choose OBS feed. If you stream only with the Sanctumel live, choose Player.
Setting its appearance
Still in Live overlay look, you choose the style (panel, bare, rule, full width), the position (top or bottom), the background opacity, the number of reserved lines and whether the label shows.
These settings now apply on both sides: on your OBS overlay as well as on the Sanctumel player. The lower third always stops above the player's control bar, so it never covers the full-screen button.
Viewers keep a button to hide the overlay if it gets in their way: their choice stays on their own device and changes nothing for anyone else.
Turning it on from the control room
- Project the content you want (a verse, a song, a quote) as usual.
- In the control room bar, click On live. The overlay appears on the stream.
- It follows what you project: change verse or slide and the overlay updates. The logo, section titles, summary and countdown never go out on the stream (nothing to hide).
- Click On live again to remove it. It also clears on its own when you stop projecting.
Note: the overlay appears with the usual streaming delay (a few seconds), the time the video takes to reach viewers.
Nothing personal, nothing that lingers
The overlay only broadcasts what you deliberately project (verses, lyrics, announcements). No member data passes through, it is read-only, and the state clears on its own shortly after you remove it or stop projecting.
