The Finance dashboard
Understand the gross / fee / net ledger, natural-language search, the copilot and payout reconciliation.
The Finance dashboard brings all your church's money into one view: online donations, pledges, sales, expenses. Every line is broken down so you know, to the cent, what you received and what actually lands in your account.
Note: Sanctumel never holds your church's money. This module is a ledger and a window, never a vault. Funds go straight to your payment account.
The ledger: gross, fee, net
Each entry shows three columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Gross | The amount the member gave (e.g. €100) |
| Fee | The commission taken on online gifts |
| Net | What your church actually receives (e.g. €97.80) |
A Pay badge means an online collection (card, mobile money); Manual a treasurer entry (cash, cheque, transfer). Online entries are locked — they cannot be edited or deleted, because they reflect a real payment already sent.
Tip: to fix a manual entry, use the pencil: the original is cancelled (struck through, reason shown) and a corrected entry is created. Nothing is ever erased — that is how the books stay tamper-proof.
Search in natural language
The search bar understands a free sentence and turns it into filters. You can combine a type, a period and an amount in the same sentence — it ignores case and accents.
The types you can name
- Tithe · Offering · Donation · Contribution · Missionary offering (or "missions")
- Expense · Rent · Maintenance · Construction (or "building")
- Other income · Other expense
The periods
- A month: "January", "May"… (all 12 months)
- A range: "from May to June"
- A year: "2025"
- A relative term: "this month", "last month", "this year", "last year"
The amounts
- A minimum: "more than 100", "over 100", "at least 50", or "> 100"
- A maximum: "less than 50", "under 100", "below 20", or "< 50"
Examples to combine
- "May tithes"
- "offerings from May to June"
- "gifts over €100 in 2025"
- "last month's expenses"
Sanctumel then shows the result count and the matching total. No more stacking four filters.
The finance copilot
At the top of the page, the copilot reads your figures automatically — no AI, nothing leaves the platform. It flags:
- a drop in income or an unusual spending spike;
- a budget exceeded or worth watching (click to jump to it);
- a cash-flow forecast: "at this rate, estimated year-end balance".
Reconciliation: what really reaches the till
The Online money card answers "how much did I really receive?":
Gross received → − commission → − refunds → Net collected.
That is the amount reaching your church's account. The donor's tax receipt always shows the gross (their full gift), because that is what is tax-deductible.
