Import, export and share songs

Bring in an OpenSong or VideoPsalm library, export it, and give the team a choir link for every service.

2026-07-04

You do not have to retype every song by hand. The Worship & Music module imports an existing library from other software, exports it for safekeeping, and provides a choir link so the team can view a service without an account.

Import an existing library

  1. In the Songbook tab, click Import / Export.
  2. Stay on the Import tab and choose the source format:
FormatFileComes from
Sanctumel.jsonAn export made from Sanctumel
OpenSong.xmlOpenSong software
VideoPsalm.jsonVideoPsalm software
  1. Drop the file. A preview lists the detected songs with their title and section count.
  2. Review, then run the import.

Warning: verses, choruses and bridges are recognised automatically, but a poorly tagged file may merge sections. Open a few songs afterwards to fix them if needed.

Export your library

From the Export tab in the same window:

  1. Choose the destination format (Sanctumel, OpenSong or VideoPsalm).
  2. Optionally filter to a single category.
  3. Download the file.

The Sanctumel export keeps all metadata (key, tempo, tags, notes). The OpenSong and VideoPsalm exports are for compatibility with those programs.

Tip: a regular Sanctumel export works as a backup of your library, re-importable at any time.

Share a service with the choir

Every service has a choir access code and a public link. The team can view the service order, songs and keys without needing an account.

  1. In the service list, find the code shown on the service card.
  2. Click Choir link to copy the address.
  3. Share it with the team (message, group chat...).

Note: this link is read-only. It only opens that one service, not the rest of the platform.
